Reorganization of the Diamond Springs-El Dorado and El Dorado County Fire Protection Districts; LAFCO Project No. 2025-01
The Commission conditionally approved the above reorganization at the January 28, 2026 LAFCO meeting.
The reorganization annexes the Diamond Springs-El Dorado Fire Protection District (DSFPD) service area and sphere of influence to the El Dorado County Fire Protection District (EDCFPD) Shingle Springs Zone, with the concurrent dissolution of DSFPD. The reorganization was intiated by resolutions of both Boards of Directors.
A Conducting Authority (protest) hearing will be held on March 25, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. in the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors Hearing Room.
All landowners and registered voters within the DSFPD service area and sphere of influence may file a protest. To protest the approved reorganization, please return the completed protest form to LAFCO at 1190 Suncast Lane, Suite 11, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762, prior to 5:00 pm on March 24, 2026, or email it to lafco@edlafco.us prior to the close of the scheduled Conducting Authority hearing on March 25, 2026.
